Tis’ The Season for a Gratitute Practice

x_mas_lights.jpg

Try this practice for the month of December and feel your self plug into the light. May peace, compassion and wonder prevail.
1) Each morning when you wake – think or write 10 things you are truly grateful for. Feel each one – celebrate each nuance. “Feel the love.”
2) During the day look at each interaction as an opportunity to learn, grow and serve your awareness of how abundant, impermantent and fluid life is.
3)Each night before you sleep – think, feel and write out 10 things you learned or are grateful for that happened that day, any new opportunities that opened up for you and things you are excited about.
Virginia Satir was a heroine for humanity, a therapist, whose ground breaking work and writing in 1976 produced her classic book Making Contact:

“I believe the greatest gift
I can conceive of having
from anyone
is
to be seen by them,
heard by them,
to be understood
and
touched by them.
The greatest gift
I can give
is
to see, hear, understand
and touch
another person.
When this is done
I feel
contact had been made.”

This Holiday Season, happy connecting to the light within and with out.
