March To Your Own Glamour: Self-Care
Hi! (No more snow, please!) I’m done with winter. Ready for the glamorous mud of March.
March is the dawning of the great thaw (and the Philadelphia Flower Show!) which kicks off my favorite time of year: Spring!
(Along with my birthday – March 19th – Yes, please send bushels of sunflowers, gift certificates to Amada and home improvement contractors.)
How about transforming March from being the month everyone hates to the month you love. Just like Michelle Obama, let’s focus on health care being about taking responsibility for Self –Care (i call it the “The Glam Program”). Glam being short for GLAMOUROUS. As in it’s glamorous to tell your self the truth about your health and vitality. Not fake glamour that’s put on. Caffeine induced. Adrenaline. Hype. No – this is mind-body-self-care-inner-to-outer- this feels-authentic-true-and-great – glamour. Authentic glamour starts with your confidence, your health, your ease, your commitment to feeling groovey.
To inspire your most GLAMOUROUS March ever, polish your Self-Care sunglasses and begin to boogie with the revolution taking the world by storm: Integrative Life Practice.
Your Integrative Life Practice is what ever you say it is. It’s what creates true glamour. True glamour is you taking the best care of yourself possible. It’s inner to outer love for your self. Feeling great in your body and radiating a natural ease and well-being.
Dr. Oz and Jamie Oliver are part of this growing movement. Check out my interview with Dr. Oz and for more inspiration Jamie Oliver’s speech on TED.
Each time you come to yoga, meditation or writing, you are practicing Integrative Life Practices that support your best self-care, health and glamorous self.
It’s all up to you. What’s it going to be?
Check out a few tips for your fun, Glamorous Self-Care Program: “THE GLAM PROGRAM” for short.
As Mother Nature starts to pulse at a more rapid pace, our circadian rhythm shifts right along with her. Mother Nature begins to awaken the spontaneous glamour of awakening the flowers of spring and our own internal need for growth and care.
To meditate, write, gather your inner wisdom, goals and intentions, focus and balance your physical body and mind takes our focus towards what we can control by being creative, proactive and self-approving. Self-care and empowering yourself is a cross-training, spring-in-your-step – event.
Each week I practice bringing into existence my dream of having a TV show that spreads integrative life practices (yoga, meditation, journaling and goal setting). For inspiration check out my show “Jennifer’s Joy Project” which stars my special guest Dr. Oz!
What lies ahead? The Radiant Retreat to the Riviera Maya, Yoga Unites for Living Beyond Breast Cancer , Morris Arboretum Events: Yoga Around the Garden, Meditation In The Meadows, Summer Soltice, and oh, every day retreat into self-care.
See you soon, glamorous one.
Love and Light,
Jennifer Schelter
