I attended my first class with Jennifer while on vacation in Philadelphia a few weeks ago. The class was wonderful and left me feeling energized and inspired. I am not a yoga guy. I usually do weights, mountain bike and volleyball. Thanks to this class I am much more open to exploring yoga for fitness and mental relaxation. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Philadelphia.
Hello!
My friend Brooke and I would like to attend Monday nights class at 6:45 and purchase the 4/40 card. Looking forward to it!
Dear Kimm,
10-15 minutes is plenty of time to sign in and purchase an introductory class card. I’m Looking forward to meeting you both
Pamela
My boyfriend and I would love to attend this Wed. night’s class. We are both experienced in yoga. How do I go about getting a class card for 4 classes? Should we just show up a half hour early? Thanks!
Hi,
I would love to attend your beginners class. I’m not available Tues. or Thurs. evenings. In terms of scheduling, what are my other options? Also, please elaborate on the pricing for beginners. Thank you!
Lacresia,
You are welcome to attend any of our classes as a beginner, but I would avoid Vigorous Vinyasa on Wednesday. Most classes are mixed levels. For new students, regardless of your level of experience we offer you 4 classes for $40 -or- a week unlimited classes for $25.
Namaste,
Pamela
Hello Jennifer,
This is your fellow Mini Cooper-owning neighbor, Howard, who is finally giving in and wants to possibly take a class at your great place. It looks as if the Thursday morning (11 AM) or/and Friday 12 PM are best for my schedule. My question are:
A) Having not done this before, do I just walk in, or do I need to reserve a space?
?
B) Is there room in those classes?
B) Even though I go to the gym a fair amount, will I die…
C) What should I bring?
D) Do I pay when I arrive?
Thanks. As you can see, I am totally clueless, having only taken one Yoga class in my life.
sincere regards,
Howard
P.S. Beautiful website.
I had the same question as above. I wasn’t sure what the difference is between the community price drop in for $14 and the other drop in for $18? thanks!
Rebecca,
Please note my answer to Rick above. The Community Vinyasa drop-in currently is $12, the Fundamentals class on Thursday evening has a drop-in rate of $16, Inspirational Vinyasa on Saturday morning is $20, and all other classes have a drop-in rate of $18. I can certainly understand why you might be a bit confused!
Please call me at the studio if you have any questions. 215-991-YOGA.
Namaste,
Pamela
Hi wanted to know more about community classes. what does this stand for? Is it The Mills community?
Thank you for you time.
Rick
Rick,
Community just means that we are lowering our rates for some class offerings so that more members of our greater community can afford to practice yoga with us. Most of the time we have at least one class per week offered at the “community” price.
Namaste,
Pamela
Hello –
Today is 11/22. I was wondering if Jennifer was scheduled to teach another meditation series for the winter. Also, I read something about Tues. eves. with Jennifer at a church in Chestnut Hill.
The classes are “themed”- and the space is lit by burning candles.(?) That sounds amazing! Could you elaborate?
Thanks so much. Take care.
Nicky
Hi!! I live here on the same property as the Schelter and i am interested in trying it out!! I have never done yoga before, so i am a beginner. I don’t really understand the pricing? And i’m not quite sure how often i can come!! So if you could just e-mail me back with some info, hopefully i can get started soon. Thanks, Danielle
I am interested in studio private lessons. Please contact me regarding how to schedule them.
Hello,
I am a student at Philadelphia University and I take the yoga class at our school that Jennifer teaches. I just wanted to comment on how beautiful and helpful this site is! I will be in touch actually with you about coming to the Vagina Monologues that I am co-directing at the school, but in the mean time – thanks for the great site!
